Central District 51 certified staff and paraprofessionals attended the Induction Academy today. We are looking forward to a great year!
Due to the continued rain, tryouts for today are cancelled.
We will resume and finish tryouts tomorrow, August 3rd.
6th and 7th grade will tryout from 10 am to 11:30 am.
8th grade will tryout from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.

Today we celebrated our custodial and maintenance crew with a fieldtrip on bus for lunch. This is an amazing group of people that work hard at Central to make sure our facilities shine. We appreciate all they do! Thanks also goes to Mr. Young for driving us. #CelebrateCentral51

Staff across the district spent 3 days this week learning more about Professional Learning Communities (PLC). A special thanks to our staff who attended for letting us borrow a few days of your summer! And, thanks to LeFleur for hosting Central in the 905 Room!

The CIS IESA State Track and Field medalists were acknowledged at the Board of Education meeting tonight. Congratulations athletes and coaches on a great season!
Over 100 girls participated in the Girls Basketball Camp this year, more than doubling last year's total of 49. The 2nd-5th grades worked on fundamentals and the 6th-8th grades focused on applying drills to game situations. Thank you to attendees and our High School helpers!
Central was able to celebrate the success of 29 CIS students for their placement at the IESA State Track and Field competition! Also, the 8th grade girls walked away as State Champions and the 7th grade girls earned 3rd place. Way to go everyone!!
We also want to thank our Paraprofessionals who are moving on to other adventures after Central: Mrs. Amy Sweeney, Mrs. Lindsey Jenkins, and Mrs. Katie Fink.
