Next week CPS and CIS will be hosting a SOUPer Bowl! Starting Monday, students can vote on which team they think will win by donating cans of soup to help support WHIP.


Tonight's 6th Grade home boys basketball game with The Lab-Pekin has been postponed and will not be played tonight. The new date has not be set as of yet.

Due to the to the icy parking lots, sidewalks and road conditions, Central School District 51 will be closed Tuesday, January 23, 2024. This is a traditional snow day with no eLearning. Coaches and sponsors will share information with students about after school games, practices and activities. Stay warm and safe!


The Boys 7th Grade Basketball Regional Game has been postponed to Wednesday, January 24.

Due to the forecasted negative temperatures and extreme wind chills , Central School District 51 will be closed Tuesday, January 16, 2024. This is a traditional snow day with no eLearning. There will be no practices, activities or games before 3:00pm on Tuesday. Coaches and sponsors will share any schedules changes with students. Stay warm and safe!


Tonight's 7th Grade Volleyball Tournament has been canceled.

Tomorrow's 8th Grade Volleyball City Wide Tournament will still be played as scheduled! The first game begins at 9:00. Go Trojans!

Central 51 is closed today due to inclement weather and road conditions. This is a true snow day and students will not be participating in e-Learning. Stay safe and warm!


Troy Cummings visited us at CPS today. He is the creator of the New York Times bestseller Can I Be Your Dog? and other books with the adorable Arfy. He has written and illustrated more than 50 children’s books, including The Notebook of Doom series.
We would like to thank our PTO and everyone who supported the Trojan Trot for giving us the opportunity to have Troy Cummings visit our school! We are so excited to have him here in Washington!
