6/17/19 - What difference a week can make! The construction and renovation at Central School District 51 is in full swing with the first week of the project under our belt. Our goal is to periodically to update our Central 51 community on the progression of our construction and renovation project this summer.
The link below will take you to pictures of last week's progress. The huge part of construction is taking place renovating the library wing and atrium area at CPS. The library wing will now be home to 3 kindergarten classrooms, ECE classroom, ELL, Speech and Intervention classrooms. While the atrium at CPS will provide spaces for our School Psychologist, Counselor, Social Worker and Occupational/Physical Therapists.
When you look at the outside of the buildings, the modular classrooms have been removed. Prep work for the classroom additions has begun. You will also notice the job trailer is now placed on the site. The fencing off of the site will take place this week.
